artist's statement
this man to the left, is my grandfather. He was a father, a brother, a son, and a husband. This man fought for our country in two wars, flew care packages to men who would have died without them. But this man was also a photographer. i remember him showing me his collections of different cameras and countless photo albums filled with scenes of mountains, war zones, soldiers, family members alive and dead; pictures from Alaska, Texas, New york, Germany, and Japan. I remember being awestruck by all these pictures of places he had been people he had seen and the memories they all held. All always remember what he told me, he told me "each picture is a window into a different a different memory". Ive held on to the state of mind for a long time and thats what inspires me to take pictures. To capture moments and memories that i can show to my son... so heres some pictures i took.
